Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, Dami Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy has given the reason for kicking a zealous fan at the just concluded 2025 Greater Lagos Countdown concert.
TheNewGuru recall that the ‘Ye’ crooner faced heavy backlash for kicking the fan and leaving the stage during his performance at the #GreaterLagosCountdown2025 on Tuesday night after a fan intruded during his performance.
According to critics, the singer behaved very unprofessional, others however attributed his action to arrogance.
Reacting to the backlash, Burna Boy via his Instagram on Wednesday night, noted that he has Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a mental health condition that’s caused by an extremely stressful or terrifying event.
He further warn fans not to jump on stage like that whenever, he’s performing, adding that, it is a rule he is known for.
He wrote: “It’s was a free show. I was supposed to do 10 mins and did almost an hour. Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when i am performing. I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night. Dont jump on stage like that! I got PTSD. I love you all. Happy new year.”

The event, organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Toke Benson-Awoyinka, was an unforgettable night of music, excitement, and celebration.
Benson-Awoyinka,emphasized the significance of the event in unifying Lagosians and celebrating the state’s cultural diversity.
“This end-of-year celebration is more than an event; it is a tribute to the dynamic spirit of Lagos and its people. With music, dance, food, and a breathtaking fireworks display, we are dedicated to creating an unforgettable experience for everyone,” she said.
