BBNaija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae has shared some personal struggles he experienced with his wife, Kassia.
He disclosed that before entering the reality show, he had lost all his money to betting, which plunged him into depression and overwhelming guilt.
The reality TV star, while speaking with Chude Jideonwo, stated that his wife stood by him in his darkest moments and offered unwavering support that helped him regain hope and strength.
He, however, stated that he considered breaking up with her due to his inability to provide adequately for her.
He said: “I had some money, but because I wanted more, the money was not enough; I started gambling with it and then lost it all. I was depressed. Every night, I was awake, thinking. Then she was the one who came to my rescue.
“I was thinking one day; I called her and said, let’s just break up. I feel I don’t have what it takes to really care for you because I feel guilty most of the time that there are things I’m supposed to be doing.”
He also discussed his time in the BBNaija house, admitting that he kept his marriage a secret but remained true to himself throughout the show.
“Even if you lie on your bed for the rest of your life, trouble will still come. I think I prefer the trouble that comes with ₦60 million. The only thing I had to fake was that I was in the house with my wife; every other thing, I was just being myself,” he added.
