Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has said Victor Boniface is progressing well from his injury.
Boniface sustained a thigh injury, while in action for Nigeria in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Amavubi of Rwanda last month.
The 23-year-old is not expected to feature again for Bayer Leverkusen this year.

Alonso is however hopeful the forward will be back in action soon.
“We have hope,” the former Spain international was quoted by Liga Insider.
“He is on the right track, but it is too early to say when he will be back.”
