A Bukayo Saka brace and Kai Havertz strike saw Arsenal defeat AS Monaco 3-0 on matchday 6 of the UEFA Champions League at the Emirates on Wednesday.
Arsenal went into the game knowing a win would strengthen their chance of progressing into the knockout round.
After a tight opening minutes, Arsenal broke the deadlock thanks to Saka in the 34th minute, who stretch to rap home Gabriel Jesus’ low cross.
With 12 minutes left to play Saka made it 2-0 following a mistake in the backline of Monaco.
Then late in the game Arsenal got their third goal after Saka’s strike took a slight touch on Havertz before nestling into the net.
The win took Arsenal to third place on 13 points after six games played and two fixtures yet to be decided.
