Troost-Ekong Announces TEF’s 2025 Charity Match

Super Eagles captain and Al-Kholood Club centre- back, William Troost-Ekong, has initiated plans for another Charity Football Match, scheduled for 21 June 2025 in Lagos – the game organised under the Troost-Ekong Foundation (TEF), which aims to unite communities and create life-changing opportunities for young Nigerians through football.

In addition to announcing the charity match, Troost-Ekong has released “FOUNDATIONS”, a compelling documentary now available on YouTube, highlighting the TEF’s mission to uplift Nigerian youth through sports, education, and community development.

“We are incredibly excited to share the FOUNDATIONS documentary with the world,” Troost-Ekong said in Press Statement released on Sunday Match 2 2025 by the TEF Brand and Communications Manager, Ima Elijah.

TEF Sports & Skills Academy: Investing in the Future

According to the Press Release, a significant component of TEF’s ongoing work is the establishment of a state-of-the-art Sports & Skills Academy in Akwa Ibom State. The academy is designed to provide young people with world-class athletic training, educational resources, and essential life skills, ensuring a pathway to success both on and off the pitch.

“The Sports and Skills Academy is a pivotal project for TEF,” Troost-Ekong stated. “We are committed to creating a space where young people can excel in both sports and academics, empowering them to become future leaders and role models.”

Charity Match: A Celebration of Giving Back

Building on the success of previous editions, the 2025 Charity Football Match will bring together celebrities, athletes, and community leaders for a day of entertainment and philanthropy. Proceeds from the event will directly support TEF’s initiatives, particularly the development of the Sports & Skills Academy.
