Tella Relishes First Champions League Goal

Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella is full of excitement after scoring his first UEFA Champions League goal.

The Nigeria international was on target in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 victory over Sparta Prague at the BayArena on Wednesday night.

The former Southampton player has played six times in the competition for the Bundesliga champions this season.

It was a remarkable achievement for Tella, who two years ago was playing in the Sky Bet Championship.

The versatile winger took to the social media to celebrate the goal with a picture.

“Dreams come true,” the former Burnley winger wrote on X after the home win.

Xabi Alonso’s side qualified for the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League following the comfortable victory.
