Super Eagles’ Chidozie Awaziem Joins Another MLS Club

Chidozie Awaziem, 27, joins the Rapids after a brief tenure at FC Cincinnati, where he spent just one season.

Awaziem has signed a contract that spans one year, with the possibility of extending it for an additional two years, allowing him the opportunity to make a lasting impact in Colorado.

During his time with FC Cincinnati, Awaziem featured in 14 matches across all competitions and contributed three assists, showcasing his ability to not only defend but also support offensive plays.

Note that Chidozie Awaziem was a part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, held in Cote d’Ivoire in February 2024.

Meanwhile, Premier League club Fulham have celebrated Alex Iwobi’s milestone of making 50 appearances for the team.

This significant achievement was marked during a match against his former club, Arsenal, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The 28-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes, exhibiting consistency and dedication.

Fulham took to social media to commemorate Iwobi’s achievement, posting an enthusiastic message that read, “Half a century in black and white for @alexiwobi!”

This acknowledgement reflects the positive impact Iwobi has had since joining Fulham from Everton last summer. So far this season, he has made 15 league appearances, scoring five goals and solidifying his role as a key player for Marco Silva’s side.
