Milan will have to face surprising competition from Como to sign Marcus Rashford, as the newcomers have reportedly set sights on the Manchester United wantaway.
According to Football Italia, transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio wrote that Como surprisingly joined the race for Rashford and would have no issue in meeting the forward’s economic demands, which could earn them an edge considering that the Red Devils are reluctant to pay part of the player’s salary in case of a loan deal.
The Lariani also feel that their ambassador Raphael Varane, who joined the club’s board a few months ago after a brief stint on the pitch and his subsequent retirement, could simplify negotiations because of his past at Manchester United, where he was a teammate of Rashford for three seasons.
