Real Madrid Slammed By La Liga President Over Ref Complaints

Spanish league president Javier Tebas lashed out at Real Madrid on Monday, saying the club leadership has “lost its mind” for accusing Spain’s referees of being biased against the defending champion.

For months, Real Madrid TV has been questioning referee decisions. The club claims there is a bias against them, pointing to controversial calls in their matches.

The head of La Liga said it was considering taking legal action for the letter that Madrid published this week in which it accused the league of being “adulterated” to favor other clubs.

“In recent weeks, there has been a lot of controversy regarding refereeing,” reads an English translation of Tebas’ comments.

“Real Madrid stirs the debate, writes a false narrative, and questions all of football. This is an aggressive and manipulated story.

“I know many in Madrid who disagree with Real, a club that cries every day. They cry on weekends, they will cry again next weekend, and in their opinion, it’s all due to a conspiracy.”
