Peseiro Rejects Move To Turkish Club Kayserispor

Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has rejected an offer to manage Turkish club, Kayserispor.

Peseiro, according to Portuguese news hub, A Bola, held talks with Kayserispor but turned done the chance the manage the team.

The 64-year-old has been a free agent since March 2024, following the expiration of his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Following his rejection, Kayserispor have now opted to hire Bosnian Sergej Jakirovic as their new coach.

Jakirovic will sign a one-and-a-half-year contract with club.

Kayserispor are currently banned from registering players in the next three transfer windows.

The club is also going through financial crisis and is on a run of five games without a win (four defeats and one draw).

The Anatolian star currently occupy 17th position on the Turkish Super Lig table with 16 points.
