Man City’s Jack Grealish responds to critics with gesture after 12-month goal drought
After the game, Haaland faced reporters and appeared to blame himself for not performing at his usual level in recent games. The Norwegian phenom has only scored two goals in his last nine Premier League games.
“First, I’m looking at myself; I haven’t been doing things good enough; I haven’t been scoring my chances. I have to do better; I haven’t been good enough,” he said as quoted by MEN.
What Guardiola said about Haaland
Guardiola disagreed with the former Borussia Dortmund striker but liked how he took responsibility for their situation.
“I don’t agree with him. Without him, he would be even worse, but I like players to be that way. It’s the only chance we have to get better.”
Premier League top scorers
Despite the recent slump, Haaland still leads the Premier League top scorer rankings with 13 goals, the same as Mohamed Salah. Manchester City has dropped to sixth on the table with 27 points, nine behind leaders Liverpool, having played two games more.
