Nigeria women’s football star Francisca Ordega has joined Saudi Arabia club Al-Ittihad Ladies from Russian club CSKA Moscow.
Al-Ittihad announced the signing on their X handle.
Ordega has signed a two-year deal with the Saudi Arabian club as a free agent, following the expiration of her contract with CSKA Moscow.
The 31-year-old’s move to Al-Ittihad Ladies reunites her with fellow Nigerian international Ashleigh Plumptre, who also plays for the Saudi Arabian club.
During her time with CSKA Moscow, Ordega enjoyed a successful spell, playing 84 matches, scoring 29 goals, and providing 20 assists.
Her impressive performances helped the team win the Russian Cup, and one Super Cup victory.
She has also featured for Levanter, Athletico Madrid, Washington Spirit, Shanghai Shengli.
Al-Ittihad Ladies are seventh on 15 points in the 10-team league table.
The team has lost its last three games and has won just one of its last five games (four defeats).
