Shooting Stars defender Desmond Ojietefian says the team’s recent good run has made the them a contender for the 2024/25 NPFL title.
Ojietefian also assured that the Oluyole Warriors will come out stronger in the second round to contend for the league diadem.
“In the second round, our fans should expect more positive results from us. We are all out for it now and we will go for the trophy,” he told the club’s media.
The former Ijebu United central defender who played all 19 matches without missing a minute, expressed his feelings over the spectacular feat.
“I feel very great, excited and I thank the coach for the opportunity, for believing in me. I’m overwhelmed and I’m really happy that I was able to contribute my own quota to the team”, he added.
“There is no magic than hard work, we have been pushing hard, working tirelessly in training, our coaches always push us hard and that’s just the secret.”
Gbenga Ogunbote’s side currently occupy third position on the league table.
