Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has lauded his teammate Bukayo Saka, describing him as “one of the best players in the world.”
This admiration highlights Bukayo Saka’s significant impact on the Premier League team and the high regard in which he is held by his fellow players.
Martinelli emphasized that there is no other player in the Gunners’ squad who can replicate Saka’s unique skill set and influence on the game.
Saka, a key figure for Arsenal, is currently sidelined due to injury but is expected to return to action in the coming months.
The young England international sustained a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s Premier League triumph over Crystal Palace in December, which has kept him out of the lineup. Following the injury, Saka underwent surgery and is currently in the recovery phase, diligently working towards regaining his fitness.
Amidst Saka’s absence, some former Arsenal players, including the legendary Emmanuel Petit, have called on Martinelli to elevate his game. Petit has publicly urged the Brazilian international to step up his performances for manager Mikel Arteta’s squad during this critical time, emphasizing the importance of each player contributing to the team’s success while Saka focuses on his rehabilitation.
However, in an interview with TNT Sports, Martinelli said, “No one can replace him [Bukayo Saka]. He is one of the best players in the world.
“We trust in ourselves and we will try our best for the club.”
