Nigerian student stabbed during argument over noise disturbance


A 25-year-old, 500 Level Business Education undergraduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye Ogun State, Koya Ayodeji, has been arrested by the operatives of the Nigerian police, Ogun State command, for stabbing his roommate, Ayobami Ajayi, a 21-year-old a third-year Mass Communication student of the same university.

During the interrogation, the suspect told the police that he had warned the victim to lower his noise level, but the victim refused to listen. This led to a heated argument, and in the heat of the moment, the suspect became angry and stabbed Ayaji in the stomach.

According to police sources, the investigation revealed that Koya Ayodeji is suspected of being under the influence of hard drugs. He was arrested, and the divisional police officer promptly contacted a medical examiner to conduct a toxicology screening

The victim was rushed to the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu for medical treatment. Surgery was performed on him, and he is said to be in stable condition.

The suspect will be charged in court as soon as the investigation is completed
