The PUNCH: The National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers will engage the Nigerian Communications Commission on Friday, seeking a possible reversal of the 50 per cent telecom tariff hike to 10 per cent, as the Nigeria Labour Congress signals readiness for protest. The Federal Government approved a 50 per cent increase after operators initially requested a 100 per cent hike. However, subscribers are pushing for a 10 per cent adjustment, and if talks fail, they plan to file a lawsuit next week to challenge the decision.
Vanguard: The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN yesterday projected that the economy will grow by 4.1 per cent growth in 2025, as well as record decline in inflation, with continued increase in foreign exchange inflow into the country.
Guardian: At the last Olympic Games in Paris, France, over 1,000 former, current, and incoming student-athletes represented the National Collegiate Athletics Association’s schools (NCAA) in 100 countries, and 272 won 330 medals for 26 countries.
