Minteh, Mitoma, Rutteh Score As Brighton Edge Man United

Manchester United were left to rue their missed chances in the first half as Brighton defeated the Red Devils 3-1 in Sunday’s Premier League game at Old Trafford.

Yankubah Minteh opened the scoring with the first shot of the game after just five minutes, only for Bruno Fernandes to equalize from the spot after Joshua Zirkzee was fouled in the box.

But in the second half, Brighton took full control, with Minteh turning provider to set up Kaoru Mitoma, before Georginio Rutter pounced on a mistake from André Onana to make it 3-1.

The defeat leaves United mired in the bottom half of the table, 12 points off the top four and on course for their worst ever Premier League campaign.

They have lost 10 of their 22 Premier League games this season, the earliest into a league campaign that they have hit double figures for defeats since 1989-90 under Alex Ferguson.
