The Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Basketball Club have expressed belief in one of their players, Hembam Wandoo to go ahead and conquer the sport at the world stage.
According to Godwin Enakhena, Wandoo is one of Nigeria’s best female basketball players with the MFM director also saying that she has the world at her feet.
MFM have thus celebrated Wandoo, attesting to the fact that she is one of the most dedicated players in the team.
“We have a team made up of very committed players, and she is one of them. A team player set to lead Nigeria to the Under-18 World Cup in Czech Republic next year,” Enakhena said.
“A part of the team that played pivotal roles in MFM WBBC winning the league back to back, the world is at her feet.”
Wandoo is also the captain of Nigeria’s U-18 side that qualified for next years World Cup. She is also an
NBBF league champion and Most Valuable Player (MVP).
The Benue State born Wandoo played pivotal roles in MFM’s championship winning performances in 2023 and 2024 Zenith Bank Nigeria Women’s Basketball League, winning the Most Valuable Player award in the latter.
At National Sports Festivals, she picked up silver while representing Benue State in 2020 and gold with Delta State in 2022.
