Lobi Stars Move To Bauchi, Remo Stars Coach Speaks On Win Over Akwa United

This decision was confirmed by Lobi Stars’ chairman, Phillip Nongu, following his assessment of the stadium’s facilities.

The Makurdi-based team will share the venue with Nigeria National League side Wikki Tourists, as their original ground, the Aper Stadium in Makurdi, is currently undergoing renovations. Note that Lobi Stars began the first half of the season playing at the Lafia City Stadium.

They are set to host Enyimba at their new ground on Sunday in a week 22 fixture.

Meanwhile, Remo Stars’ technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, has praised his team following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. Ogunmodede highlighted the success as a product of the entire team’s collective effort and dedication.

Expressing his contentment, he remarked, “Massive Comeback Victory in Uyo! I’m delighted to kick-start the second half of the 2024/2025 NPFL season on a positive note. I’m grateful to the coaching crew and the entire team for their determination to secure maximum points. The journey continues — we’ll keep pushing forward!”

With this victory, Remo Stars maintained their position at the top of the league table with 39 points from 20 games.

Abia Warriors’ technical adviser, Imama Amapakabo, also expressed optimism about his team’s future following their 1-0 win against Bayelsa United at the Umuahia Township Stadium. Amapakabo emphasized the importance of improvement and consistency, noting that Sunday Megwo’s goal was crucial in securing the victory.

He stated, “Our focus is to continue winning, as victory is paramount for us. We’ll analyze our performance against Bayelsa United to identify areas for improvement in future matches. It’s just one game out of 19 we’ve played, and I believe we’ll keep getting better.”
