Liverpool Thrash West Ham, Remain Top Of EPL

Liverpool continued their excellent form in the Premier League as the Reds thrashed West Ham 5-0 on Sunday.

The victory extend Liverpool’s unbeaten run to 23 matches in all competitions.

Luis Díaz opened the scoring after 30 minutes, lashing in from just inside the West Ham box. It was his eighth Premier League goal this season, his joint-best return in a campaign (also 8 in 2023-24).

Cody Gakpo doubled Liverpool’s lead moments later after Salah had somewhat fortuitously bundled the ball into his path. Salah then made it three just before halftime, finishing smartly at the near post after he was afforded far too much room in the box.

Trent Alexander-Arnold added a fourth early in the second half, striking from range via a deflection off Max Kilman. Diogo Jota made it five late on after Salah’s mazy run teed him up for a simple finish.
