Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has said Arsenal’s biggest challenge in their quest for the Premier League title is injuries.
The Gunners have had to contend with missing key players no thanks to injuries which led to dropping of points.
The latest is star winger Bukayo Saka who it is feared may be out of action for over two months.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has missed most parts of the campaign while skipper Martin Odegaard was out at some point after suffering ankle injury while on international duties with Norway.
Speaking on Arsenal’s chances of mounting a title challenge, Carragher said the number of injuries is becoming frequent now.
“Arsenal’s biggest problem right now is their injuries. They managed to avoid too much disruption in the last two years but their squad has been stretched this time.
“Mikel Arteta will find the answers to ensure the team improves in the second half of the season, and they have built valuable experience of a run-in. If they can get to March still close, they will believe.”
