Liverpool once again dropped points in the league after playing a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
Ola Aina was in action for 90 minutes while Taiwo Awoniyi came on in the 90th minute against his former club.
The draw means Forest are second on 41 points, six points behind leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand.
Arne Slot’s men went into the fixture hoping to return to winning ways after playing a 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Anfield last time out in the league.
Chris Wood, however, opened the scoring in the eight minute but Diogo Jota drew the Reds level on 66 minutes.
Meanwhile, a win for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday’s North London derby could see Liverpool’s lead to cut to four points.
