Ruben Amorim has reportedly urged Manchester United to strike a deal with Bayern Munich for midfielder/right-back, Konrad Laimer.
Since replacing Erik ten Hag as United’s manager, Amorim, 39, has overseen two wins and a draw. His confidence and charisma off the pitch have quickly endeared him to fans.
Amorim, who left Sporting to take charge at Old Trafford, is well aware that his team faces its toughest challenge yet this evening when they meet Arsenal in a high-stakes Premier League clash.

Despite arriving in Manchester less than a month ago, the Portuguese manager has been working tirelessly behind the scenes. The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their squad in several key areas to close the gap on their rivals.
According to Sky Germany, as reported by The Metro, Amorim is urging United’s management to consider an approach for Laimer, who has impressed in the Bundesliga over the past two seasons.
Amorim is particularly attracted to Laimer’s versatility, as the 27-year-old is adept at playing both in midfield and at right-back. United are closely monitoring his situation at Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils and Bayern Munich maintain a positive relationship, following recent dealings involving Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. However, with three years remaining on Laimer’s contract at Bayern, and reports suggesting he is content at the Allianz Arena, negotiations could prove challenging.
Meanwhile, United’s minority stakeholders, INEOS, are reportedly committed to restoring the club to its former glory and are willing to support significant investments.
As the busy festive period looms, a victory against Arsenal on Wednesday night would see United climb further up the Premier League table, adding to Amorim’s promising start.
