AC Milan have reached an agreement to bring Manchester City captain Kyle Walker on loan for the remainder of the season.
This arrangement includes an option for the club to purchase Kyle Walker outright when the loan ends in the summer.
Walker, who has an impressive record of 316 appearances for Manchester City, is set to travel to Italy for a medical examination shortly.
His last appearance for the club was against West Ham on January 4, during which he told manager Pep Guardiola his desire to consider opportunities for a move abroad.
At 34 years old, Walker has expressed a strong preference for a move to Italy over the previously speculated interest from the Saudi Pro League.
In addition to Walker, AC Milan have expressed interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. However, due to registration regulations in Italy, the club is only permitted to sign one player from the UK during this transfer window.
Having joined Manchester City from Tottenham in a £50 million deal in 2017, Walker has been a pivotal part of the team, contributing to all six Premier League titles won under Pep Guardiola.
He was appointed joint-captain in 2023 as part of a five-player leadership group chosen by his teammates for the current season.
Manchester City have been proactive in the January transfer window, securing three new signings for a total investment of approximately £123 million. Notably, Egypt forward Omar Marmoush has joined from Bundesliga club Frankfurt for an initial fee of £59 million, alongside Vitor Reis from Palmeiras for £30 million and Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens for £33.6 million.
