Kogi United have unveiled Gilbert Opana as the club’s new technical adviser,” reports Completesports.com.
Opana will be assisted by Mohammed Yusuf, Abdulazeez Adeiza and Taiye Ojo.
Chairman of the club, Abdulmalik Isah charged the new coach to bring his wealth of experience and discipline to ensure speedy success for the Confluence State club.

He also advised the gaffer to exhibit resilience, determination, hard work and passion for the job which will help ensure a quick return of the club to it’s glory days.
Isah further said Opana’s appointment was based on his experience and track records with different clubs in the Nigeria football ecosystem.
The new technical adviser thanked the management for finding him worthy and qualified for such enviable appointment and promised to do everything possible to ensure that the mandate given to him to return the club to the Nigeria National League is achieved at the end of the forthcoming Nationwide League One season.
Kogi United,who narrowly missed out on promotion last season will begin the quest for a return to the Nigeria National League in April 2025.
