Serie A giants Juventus have joined the race to sign Chelsea defender Renato Veiga in January.
The Old Lady has entered talks with Chelsea over the move for the versatile 21-year-old.
Borussia Dortmund also remain in touch with Chelsea after making an offer last week.
Earlier, Veiga has reportedly decided against a permanent transfer away from Chelsea. He is open to a six-month loan, though.
Veiga, who joined Chelsea from Basel last summer for £12 million, is actively seeking an exit from Stamford Bridge due to limited playing opportunities.
The versatile defender has primarily been used as a left-back, despite his preference to play as a central defender.
The young Portuguese international has struggled to establish himself in Chelsea’s first team, starting just one Premier League game this season.
His frustration stems from being unable to play in his preferred centre-back position, with the club having several established defenders ahead of him in the pecking order.
