The Vice Chancellor of University of Ado-Ekiti (EKSU), Prof. Joseph Ayodele and the students on Wednesday commended the Governor’ Wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji for pro bono teaching at the tertiary institution.
Prof. Ayodele, applauded Dr Oyebanji for creating time out of her busy schedule to teach in the state University.
He said the initiative to teach on pro bono basis had started yielding results.
He said that the recent elevation of the First Lady to an Associate Professor could not be unconnected with her selfless service to humanity.
The governor’s wife taught the 300 level students on Education Management.
The Governor of the class, Waheed Timilehin, said the entire students were excited with her class, especially the interactive approach adopted by Dr Oyebanji.
“It was a moment we all looked forward to and we were not disappointed.
“Those who experienced same humanitarian gesture last session had already wet our appetite and we got more than we bargained; she demonstrated that she’s a born teacher.” Timilehin said.
Oyebanji, who lectured the students on leadership, encouraged them to inculcate the trait of a good leader to reduce moral decadence in the society.
The lecture, was in continuation of the community service work adopted by Oyebanji on assumption of office as the state’s First Lady.
