“Wilf, when he comes off you know there’s a problem. I hope it’s minor. He felt a slight strain in the hamstring. Hopefully it’s not too much. We’ll see how quick we can get him back,” Van Nistelrooy said after the game.
The 27-year-old has made 15 league appearances for the Foxes this season.
The Dutchman will be hoping the midfielder is available for selection against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Senegal international Boubacar Soumare is suspended for the game, while Harry Winks is still recuperating from a groin problem.
