Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has showered encomium on Wilfred Ndidi following his team’s Emirates FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
The Foxes lost the fifth round tie 2-1 at the Old Trafford on Friday night.
Ndidi recently returned to full training after spending around two months on the sidelines.
The Nigeria international sustained a muscle injury during Leicester City’s 2-2 draw with Brighton Hove & Albion last December.

The midfielder featured from the start against Manchester United.
He was replaced in the 58th minute by Harry Winks.
“You’ve seen the game, the way he played, the way he lifted the team, on the ball, off the ball. His performance was excellent, but also his leadership,” the Dutchman was quoted by Leicester City Mercury.
” Not only the captain’s armband he wore, the way he led the team, the way he demanded from his surroundings, coaching, talking, preventing situations from occurring.
” I thought Bouba and Wilf had a great partnership today on the ball but also off the ball to control the game.”
