Egyptian giants Al Ahly are exploring the possibility of signing Kelechi Iheanacho this month.
Iheanacho only joined Spanish club Sevilla on a free transfer last summer following the expiration of his Leicester City’d contract
The 28-year-old has however failed to score or register an assist in nine league outings for the Rojiblancos.
Garcia Pimienta’s side are reportedly willing to allow him leave this month.
The former UEFA Europa League champions are open to a loan plus buy option for the striker.
The Nigeria international was recently linked with a move to Sky Bet Championship club Watford.
However, according to English outlet Express, Al Ahly have emerged as a contender for Iheanacho’s signature as a possible replacement for South African forward Percy Tau.
The Cairo powerhouse also want to bolster their attacking options ahead of the summer’s Club World Cup in USA.
