Dele Alli Finally Gets New Club As West Brom Coach Laments Over Josh Maja’s Injury

After several weeks of training with the Serie A team, Dele Alli is set to sign a contract that will keep him at Como until June 2026, with the possibility of an additional year based on his appearances or availability.

Alli’s journey is noteworthy, as he transitions from his previous stints with Everton and Besiktas. He was seen supporting Como during their match against AS Roma in December, showcasing his eagerness to integrate into the team. He is expected to play under coach Cesc Fabregas this month.

On a different note, West Bromwich Albion’s caretaker manager, Chris Brunt, expressed concern over the recent injury to Josh Maja.

The Baggies confirmed that Maja will be unavailable for several weeks due to a lower leg injury, which poses a significant challenge for the team. Brunt emphasized Maja’s contributions beyond just scoring, highlighting his overall influence on the team’s performance.

“It’s not just his goals; it’s his overall play, too,” Brunt remarked during his interview with BBC Radio WIM. He noted that Maja had been on a positive trajectory after dealing with previous ankle injuries and had been a crucial player, scoring 12 league goals this season.

Brunt acknowledged the importance of Maja’s presence on the pitch and expressed hope for his swift recovery, as the team has been striving to improve their goal-scoring record this season.
