Brighton Knock Chelsea Out Of FA Cup

Brighton and Hove Albion beat Chelsea 2-1 to advance into the fifth round of the Emirates FA on Saturday.

Chelsea went in front just five minutes into the game after Brighton’s keeper Bart Verbruggen parried Cole Palmer’s cross into his own net.

In the 12th minute Georginio Rutter made it 1-1 with a header from a cross by Joel Veltman.

Japanese international Kaoru Mitoma then bagged the winning goal in the 57th minute.

In the other FA Cup games played on Saturday, Paul Onuachu and Joe featured as Southampton lost 1-0 to Burnley at St. Mary’s, Alex Iwobi was in action in Fulham’s 2-1 win at Wigan, Bournemouth beat Everton 2-0 and Newcastle edged out Birmingham 3-2.

Also, Millwall defeated Leeds 2-0, Manchester City came from a goal down to beat Leyton Orient 2-1, Ipswich thrashed Coventry 4-1, Cardiff and Wycombe beat Stoke and Preston on penalties.

On Sunday, Blackburn Rovers will take on Wolves, it will be Plymouth Argyle vs Liverpool and Aston Villa will host Tottenham Hotspur.
