President Bola Tinubu has reportedly signed the bill establishing the North Central Development Commission into law.
Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, announced the development during plenary on Tuesday, February 4, adding that the president signed the bill establishing the federal polytechnic in the Rano area of Kano state and the Federal University of Health Sciences in Tsafe, Zamfara state.

However, the Senate president did not reveal the date Tinubu signed the bill, but his announcement followed the day that the president signed the bill that established a federal university of environmental technology in Ogoni, Rivers state.
Tinubu signed bill establishing Ogoni university
The signing was done at the presidential villa in Abuja on Monday, February 3. The president noted that the university is expected to address environmental concerns in the Ogoni kingdom and promote education opportunities in the Niger Delta region as a whole.
Tinubu noted that the people of the region have been at the forefront of the restoration of their environment and sustainable development. He noted that the institution would shape national and global discourse on critical issues.
