Ashakah gifts N25 million cash, food items to Ozoro resi


As the festive season enveloped the serene town of Ozoro in Delta State, an illustrious son of the soil, Engr Ashakah Orobosa, has distributed over N25 million cash to 200 market women, 120 widows and bags of rice, groundnut oil to PDP women, Ashakah ladies and other women groups in the community.

Ashakah, a former Isoko North PDP House of Assembly aspirant, brought a ray of hope to hundreds of families in the community while making the presentation at his country home in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking during the brief ceremony, Engr. Ashakah thanked the women for their continuous support and prayers for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, in order to make his M.O.R.E Agenda visible for Isoko people.

According to him,”Governor Oborevwori has done exceedingly well for Ozoro people and Isoko nation at large, hence we must join hands to always pray for him and support his re-election come 2027″.

He acknowledged the economic challenges faced by Nigerians and expressed his commitment to supporting the Ozoro community and Isoko North at large.

He said,”I decided to support over 200 market women with cash gift of one hundred thousand (#100,000) naira each to boost their business and five hundred (500) women including widows and aged mothers will get a bag of rice and groundnut oil and cash gift”, he concluded.

Also speaking, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Education Monitoring, Comrade Ovie Umuakpo, urged the beneficiaries of the business start-up grant to make good use of the funds they have received.

He thanked Engr Ashakah Orobosa for putting smiles on the faces of the widows and market women.

Umuakpo, who lauded the Governor Oborevwori for the giant strides in the building of critical infrastructures and human capital development, urged them to support the Governor to do more for the people of Isoko nation and the state at large.

Responding on behalf of the Ozoro market women, Mrs. Roseline Ejoboke, appreciated Engr. Ashakah for his kind gesture and financial support for small-scale business women, widows and aged mothers.

Mrs Ejoboke said the financial support will go a long way in boosting their businesses and improve their standard of living, assuring that they were ever ready to support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election in 2027, saying “Where Engr. Ashakah Orobosa go, Ozoro market women will go”, “where you go, is where Ozoro women will go”, she declared.

Engr. Ashakah’s philanthropic efforts have made significant impact on the lives of people in Ozoro community and Isoko North local government.

His actions demonstrate a strong commitment to giving back to the community and promoting the well-being of Isoko people in all ramifications of life.

As residents depart to their various homes, this Yuletide celebration the 2025 New Year celebration in Ozoro will be remembered as a season of love, generosity, and unbridled joy, a testament to the joy and goodwill brought by Ashakah Orobosa.
