Arsenal have been dealt another huge injury blow with Raheem Sterling expected to be for weeks due to knee injury.
Sterling, who is on loan from Chelsea, missed the 5-1 win at Crystal Palace after picking up an injury during training.
On Saturday, Mikel Arteta confirmed Sterling felt something in training and had to come off.
It is a big blow for club and player, who has struggled to impress in Arteta’s first-team plans since arriving on loan from Chelsea, playing just 93 minutes since October.
The former Manchester City forward now faces an extended period on the sidelines.
Updating reporters on Monday, Arteta said: “He is going to be out for weeks. He needs some further testing tomorrow to understand the extent of the injury.
“It is his knee. Unfortunately, he is going to be out for a while.”
It is a double blow Arsenal after Bukaya Saka was ruled out for “many weeks” with a hamstring injury.
