Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior is ready to leave the club in January, with Napoli having now made him a priority signing.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Transfer), Napoli find themselves in a bit of an ’emergency’ situation.
Centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno has suffered an injury in training that is expected to keep him out for several weeks.
Napoli wanted to dip into the market for a defensive reinforcement in January even before the summer signing’s injury, but the fact that he is now sidelined has increased the club’s urgency.
Juventus veteran Danilo is named as one potential replacement, while PSG outcast Milan Skriniar, despite persistent links to the Bianconeri, also can’t be ruled out as a target for Napoli.
Above all, however, the 2023 Scudetto winners would like to sign Arsenal squad player Kiwior.
