APC Has Decimated PDP, Labour Party, Others But Kwankwaso Is Their Nightmare

Ahead of the 2027 presidential elections, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of making monetary promises to opposition political parties to support its candidate during the election.

He alleged that the APC is deploying financial offerings, intimidations, and other tactics to ensure that opposition parties in Nigeria align with the agenda of the present government.

According to him, the APC has already succeeded in decimating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and other opposition parties.

He, however, argued that they have not succeeded with the NNPP because the party is too smart for them.

Galadima added that the leader of the NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, represents the nightmare of the APC.

Speaking in an interview with Vanguard which was published on Sunday, Galadima said: “They are promising that to all political parties to align with the agenda of the present government so that in 2027, there will be no candidate. You see how they are trying to decimate political parties? They have decimated the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the ground, they have decimated the Labour Party, LP, they have decimated the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. We don’t even know which…”

On why they have not been able to decimate the NNPP, he said, “They can’t because we are too smart for them. Of course, you know that they are trying to destabilize Kano State, but Alhaji Kwankwaso is their nightmare.”

On the probability that Kwankwaso would contest the 2027 election, Galadima was of the opinion that the former Kano State Governor has a right under the constitution to contest political offices.

“He is a Nigerian from the North and the constitution has given him the right to contest if the opportunity is there. Kwankwaso is a Nigerian and if he feels he is strong enough and got enough support, he will contest. What stops him?” the NNPP chieftain submitted.
