AFCON 2025: Super Eagles In Walk Over Group -Udeze

Former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze has said the Super Eagles’ AFCON 2025 group is a walkover for them.

The draw for the AFCON 2025 was held in Rabat, Morocco on Monday with the Eagles drawn in Group C with Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania.

The Eagles will play all their group stage games in Fez and will open their campaign on December 23 against Tanzania.

On December 27 they will take on Tunisia before ending the group phase on December 30 against Uganda.

“For me it is a walkover group for the Super Eagles, it is not a difficult group for us,” Udeze said on Brila FM’s Sport Machine on Tuesday.

“I agree there are no more minnows in African football but the Super Eagles should be able to come out from the group.

“I’m not scared, all we need to do is just take things one step at a time.”

In other draw, hosts Morocco, Mali, Zambia and Comoros are in Group A and seven-time champions Egypt, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe are in Group B.

Group D has Senegal, DR Congo, Benin Republic and Botswana, Group E will be contested by Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea and Sudan while Group F consist of champions Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique.
