Adamawa Gov Tasks Christian Pilgrims To Israel On Good Behaviour

Adamawa State government has charged the 180 Christian pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state through good conduct while on pilgrimage.

Speaking at the farewell service for the Batch A pilgrims to Israel and Jordan, the deputy governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, urge them to pray for the state and the county.

“I urge you to pray for the state especially, with the developmental projects rolled out in the state by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. I encourage you to pray for our president and the federal government for God’s guidance so that Nigeria would experience stability and peace.

“Also pray for Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for more wisdom, courage and boldness to continue to develop the state to higher level,” she said.

She reiterated the present  administration’s continuous commitment to support pilgrimages, adding that the journey provides an opportunity to rejig and deepen their faith in God.

The state CAN chairman, Rev. Joel Manzo, said the visit to the holy land would be a transformative experience with a deeper understanding of their faith and passion to serve God in truth and spirit.

 

They appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his continuous sponsorship of Christian pilgrimageS in Adamawa, saying he is a leader to reckon with, even as they underscored the importance of prayers

 

Earlier in a welcome address, the chairman, Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Bishop Theophilus Shadrach, urged them  to build on their understanding of the scripture and renew commitment to the service of God.
