Gidado indicated that the governor has promptly accepted Kashim’s resignation.
Also, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa, has been directed to take over from Kashim in an acting capacity.
Governor Bala thanked Barrister Kashim for his services to the state during his time as the SSG.
“The Chief of Staff, Government House, Bauchi, Dr. Aminu Gamawa, has been directed to take over from him in an acting capacity.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State recently suspended the member representing Kirfi local government in the state House of Assembly, Habibu Umar, over ties with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Henzodaily reports that an insider who spoke with Punch about the development said Umar was suspended due to allegations of alliance with Wike.
However, a letter addressed to the state House of Assembly speaker, Abubakar Sulaiman, disclosed that Umar was suspended on allegations of insubordination.
The letter signed by the party’s state chairman, Sama’ila Burga, stated that Umar was found guilty after investigation and evaluation before a Disciplinary Committee.
He added that with effect from November 25, 2024, the lawmaker is prohibited from participating in any party activity, pending any further development from the party.
