Former Kwara United coach Samson Unuanel says he’s optimistic Enyimba will still qualify for the knockout stages of the CAF Confederations Cup despite a shaky start to the campaign.
Recall the Aba Elephant played out a 2-2 draw against Zamalek at the weekend.
Enyimba are yet to record a win in two matches on the continent as they stay third on the standings.
Speaking with Completesports.com, Unuanel stated that Enyimba can still qualify from the group regardless of the early results.

“It will be too early to start thinking Enyimba will not qualify to the knockout stages of the CAF Confederations Cup. Yes, they have played two draws and sit third in the group, but then, a win will push the team to pole position.
“The result against Zamalek was not bad considering the fact that they came from two goals down. This result will boost the morale of the players ahead of their next game.
“I am very optimistic that Enyimba will make it to the next round of the competition because they have the experience.”
