Galatasaray Reveals How Long Victor Osimhen Will Be Sidelined

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen is set to be out of action for approximately two weeks due to a muscle injury he sustained during Galatasaray’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Sivasspor last weekend.

Victor Osimhen’s injury is significant enough that the talented forward will not participate in at least three upcoming matches, which is a considerable blow for both him and the team.

As part of his recovery, Osimhen will miss the highly anticipated UEFA Europa League clash against Malmo on Thursday. Additionally, it is expected that he will be absent for pivotal league matches against Trabzonspor, scheduled for next Monday, and Kayserispor on December 22.

This season, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker has been in remarkable form, having found the net seven times and providing three assists across nine league appearances for Galatasaray.

His contributions have proven crucial in helping the Yellow and Reds maintain their position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig standings, as they aim to clinch the league title for a third consecutive season.

In another development, Chelsea-bound forward Willian Estevão has expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Premier League side and has revealed his preferred shirt number for when he arrives at Stamford Bridge.

Willian, who has already signed a contract with Chelsea and is set to make the move in the summer of 2025 upon turning 18, will be joining the club after they paid an initial €34 million to Palmeiras for the highly sought-after 17-year-old talent.

The Brazilian prodigy is anticipated to be a key player for Chelsea over the long term, with a deal that extends until 2033.

Reflecting on his aspirations for his time at Chelsea, Estevão shared with ESPN Brasil: “If they assign me the shirt number 41, which I currently wear at Palmeiras, I would find it really exciting.”

Estevão has made a strong impression in his performances for Palmeiras this season, racking up an impressive tally of 12 goals and assisting eight others in 27 appearances.
