LEADERSHIP reports that the initial 16-count charge earlier preferred against Farotimi, by the prosecution, led by Samson Osobu, were reduced to 14 in an amended charge.
The defence team, led by Mr Taiwo Adedeji, had prayed the court to grant their client bail but was opposed by Osobu of the prosecution team, claiming that the defendant is not competent to be granted bail.
The presiding Magistrate, Abayomi Adeogun, in his short ruling, ordered that Farotimi be returned to the correctional facility and adjourned the case till December 20, 2014.
Recall that a Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti had on Monday granted bail to Farotimi in sum of N50million and adjourned till January 29, 2025.
