Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn in Group B with Egypt, South Africa and Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
The draw ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football,CAF, on Thursday.
The Flying Eagles were the top seed in the group.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side will face one of their group opponents, Egypt in a friendly later this month.
The West Africans finished third at the last edition of the U-20 AFCON.
Hosts Cote d’Ivoire are in Group A with Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana and Tanzania.
Holders Senegal will face Zambia Kenya and Sierra Leone in Group C.
The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals along with the two best third-placed sides.
Cote d’Ivoire will host the competition from Saturday, April 26 to Sunday, May 18.
The Top four nations will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup that will be staged in Chile later in the year.
