Don’t Be Deceived By Dessers’ Goal Scoring Form –Stewart

Former Scotland midfielder Michael Stewart has told Rangers not to be deceived by Super Eagles striker Cyril Dessers’ recent goal-scoring form.

Recall that the Nigerian international has already been linked with a move out of the club after falling second in the striker pecking order.

However, his recent goal-scoring form in Europe and Scotland is gradually giving Rangers a rethink; however, Stewart has warned the club not to be deceived.

“Cyriel Dessers, if I were Rangers, I’d be over the moon with what’s happened in the last couple of games and just hoping, making it easier to facilitate a move out.

“He’s scored two great goals. His numbers are not bad. Let’s be honest; he’s not good enough. Colak [Antonio] for me was a better all-round striker than Dessers,” the former Scotland International said in quotes revealed by Rangers News.

“Get Dessers out of the door because he’ll be on a big pack of money; you might be able to recoup some money, but I’d be looking at those last two games and going, ‘Brilliant.’.

“Don’t be fooled into thinking there might be a player in there. We’ve seen enough,” the 43-year-old concluded.
