Former Nigerian international Dosu Joseph says the Super Eagles must ensure they fight it out against Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania in order to qualify from the group for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that the draw for AFCON 2025 was held on Monday in Rabat, Morocco.
The three-time African champions will be eyeing a return to glory in Morocco, aiming to clinch their fourth AFCON title after narrowly losing the last final to Côte d’Ivoire.
Reacting to the draws, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, in a chat with Completesports.com, stated that no team is a pushover.

“Every country that qualifies for the Nations Cup is a potential winner of that tournament. You won’t say because they are a small country, then Nigeria has it easy with them.
“Football is being played on the field of play, not on the pages of newspapers. Nigeria will surely work hard to get the victories, and I believe the Super Eagles can qualify from that group.
“We have to fight it out against those countries… You won’t say because Tunisia is a household name, then they will be the ones to slug it out with Nigeria. We need to treat each team with respect and also play to win all the games.”
The 2025 AFCON will kick off on December 21, 2025, with group stage matches running until December 31, excluding Christmas Day.
