Intensify Onslaughts Against Bandits, Terrorists

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has charged personnel to intensify onslaughts against insurgents and bandits.

Henzodaily reports that General Oluyede stated this during an operational visit to 402 Special Forces Brigade (SF) Headquarters in Kaduna, on Monday.

He applauded the 402 Special Forces Brigade for their remarkable efforts in safeguarding the Kaduna-Abuja road and rail corridor.

Arriving at a ceremonious Quarter Guard reception, Oluyede received a comprehensive briefing on the Brigade’s operational activities and challenges.

Addressing the officers and soldiers, the Chief of Army Staff emphasized the need for sustained offensives against terrorists, insurgents, and other criminal elements operating within their jurisdiction.

While noting the challenges faced by the troops, he assured them of prompt intervention to address these issues.

He reiterated his commitment to enhancing the welfare and accommodation of Nigerian Army personnel, emphasizing that every soldier deserves optimal care and support.

General Oluyede urged the officers to lead by example, demonstrating courage and resilience in tackling security threats.

He commended the Brigade’s operational successes, highlighting the critical role they play in the Army’s overall strategy.

“The demand for the services of the 402 SF Brigade across various units and formations underscores your exceptional performance,” he said.

According to Army spokesman, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the visit, aimed at boosting troop morale and operational readiness, reflected Oluyede’s dedication to ensuring the Nigerian Army remained resolute in its mission to defend the nation against security threats.

He was accompanied on this visit by the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, key Principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters, and the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army.
