U.S. President, Donald Trump, has sacked four senior government officials appointed by his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Henzodaily reports that Trump announced the dismissal in his first Truth Social post after his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.
Trump said the officials were fired because they did not align with the current administration’s vision to make America great, hinting that more such actions were imminent.
He wrote, “Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”
Using his iconic catchphrase from the TV show The Apprentice, Trump stated, ‘YOU’RE FIRED!’, and named the dismissed officials: Jose Andres from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition; Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars; and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council.
Trump declared the post to serve as their “Official Notice of Dismissal.”
Meanwhile, Trump has officially repealed several executive orders promoting LGBTQ rights and diversity initiatives, issuing new decrees on Monday that define gender strictly as male or female and eliminate federal diversity programs.
This move marks a significant shift from the policies of the previous administration and aligns with Trump’s ongoing opposition to what he describes as “woke culture.”
During his campaign, Trump criticized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, claiming they unfairly discriminated against white men.
One of the new executive orders stated, “The Biden Administration forced illegal and immoral discrimination programs, going by the name ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ (DEI), into virtually all aspects of the Federal Government, in areas ranging from airline safety to the military.”
Trump also targeted policies recognizing gender diversity, particularly those protecting transgender individuals.
