Suspended former senior pastor of City of David Parish, Idowu Iluyomade, has launched his own church, the “Family Fellowship” in Lagos.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Illuyomade, who tendered his resignation from the church after the church board suspended him, was seen giving God a dance thanksgiving alongside his handful of congregation, in the video that surfaced on social media.

TNG recalls that Iluyomade’s wife held a lavish party a week after a prominent member of the RCCG City of David Parisj and key financier, the former group chief executive officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba and son Chizi and several others died in a helicopter crash in California, United States on February 9.
After the party, social media was flooded with stories that the party, which saw singer Flavour serenade Mrs Iluyomade, was done in bad taste.
Shortly after, Iluyomade, also called PID, was suspended on June 1 for three months by the council of elders over the church’s finances and his alleged resistance to be transferred from the parish.
He was later replaced by Pastor Charles Kpandei of the church’s Resurrection Parish, Region 11.
