Notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji has issued a stern warning to residents of villages near Shinkafi, threatening severe consequences for anyone heading to the Shinkafi market.
Local sources told Zagazola Makama that the fugitive bandit leader is attempting to enforce the threat to obscure his movements and evade intensified security operations targeting his criminal activities.
Turji’s warning has instilled fear among residents in the affected communities. “He appears determined to control his territories and manipulate public perception in the region,” an informed source shared.
The bandit leader’s tactics are seen as an effort to deter surveillance and shield his network from the ongoing crackdown by security forces.
Contrary to widespread rumours, credible security sources and local residents have confirmed that Turji remains unharmed. Recent reports indicate that he was spotted in nearby villages yesterday, appearing distressed.
His visible unease aligns with the mounting pressure from security forces, who have intensified their operations around his known hideouts.
Security Forces Intensify Operations
Efforts to apprehend Turji and dismantle his network, which has significantly contributed to the insecurity plaguing Zamfara State and its environs, are in full swing.
Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly.
Turji’s reign of terror has left a trail of destruction in Zamfara and neighboring states, with his criminal enterprise orchestrating kidnappings, extortion, and violent attacks.
